Happy Hump Day!
Happy Mom Goal:

As mothers, our methods for finding time off may differ, but the results are usually the same - happier moms and thus happier families. ~Debra Sansing Woods
So today, I'd like you to take a bit of a break. Obviously as mothers, we can't completely take the day off, but find some time during your day when you can just relax and not worry about a thing. It's necessary in order for you to be the best mom you can be!
Happy Kid Goal:

Get out some old pictures of you as a kid (at your child's current age if possible.) Show your kids the pictures and talk about how you were once a kid too! They'll love it, and if they are anything like my 3 year old, they'll have a TON of questions after. It's a great thing to share!
Happy Husband Goal:
I know we did a food one yesterday, but everyone knows "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach!" Tonight when your mister sits down to relax and wind down, have a special yummy drink or smoothie made up for the two of you. It's a nice treat, and it'll give you guys a few minutes to talk about....whatever!(When I do this, I look in my fridge and freezer and use whatever I've got. Just throw some juice, ice cream, fruit, ice, anything really, into your blender, and you've got a yummy drink!)
Happy House Goal:
In our house, we are trying really hard to have a good supply of food storage. It's very important to have a supply of food in case there's ever a life threatening emergency and we can't get food from a store for whatever reason. This is something that usually takes a while to build up and it can take a lot of work, so don't worry, we aren't trying to do it all today. But focus on doing one thing for your food storage today. Start one if you haven't already. If you have, get a little organizing done, or take inventory of what you have and what you still need. (some good basics are: flour, oil, rice, water, beans, canned goods, etc;)Dinner Tonight
Barbeque Chicken Pizza12 regular Rhode's rolls, thawed and risen
6 ounces boneless, skinless chicken breast, diced
1/2 chopped onion
1 cup of your favorite barbeque sauce
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 small tomato, diced
1 can pineapple tidbits, drained
1 cup grated mozerella cheese
Cook chicken & onion in 1/2 cup bbq sauce until chicken is no longer pink. Set aside. Combine rolls into a ball. Roll into a 13-inch circle. Place on a 12-inch sprayed pizza pan. Bake @350 for 10 minutes.
Spread with remaining 1/2 cup bbq sauce. Top with chicken and onion mixture, peppers, tomato, & pineapple. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake @350 for an additional 10-15 minutes.
Serves 8 slices.
My family loves this! I sometimes leave out the tomato, but it's great both ways! (Oh, I also use a little more cheese!)
Today's Pep Talk!
Today, I'd like to remind you about the importance of friends. Yes, friends. I've heard so many women say that they don't have friends, but it really can be anyone: sisters, sisters-in-law, cousins, fellow church members, heck - my mom is probably my best friend that I talk to the most! But we mothers need someone we can talk to about the things on our minds; and heaven knows we have a lot in there! A friend can offer the support that we need when a child is giving us a hard time, reassurance when we're feeling discouraged, or a laugh when we need it most. Remember that there are other women out there who care about you, and who get what you're going through. It's okay to reach out to them for support! If someone came to you in need of advice, help, ideas, or even just a listening ear, you'd help them wouldn't you? I'm pretty sure all you amazing women would! So today, remember all the women who are there for you and are your greatest friends. And, reach out to another mother who may need you to be there for them! We can all help each other to be better and happier moms! That's what this is all about~

Today's Pep Talk
I'm sure we've all felt this way! (although I'm sure I don't look quite this calm when I'm doing that much!) The look on her face, however, reminded me to take a moment to organize my time as a wife, mother, homemaker, daughter, friend, etc; etc;....... We CAN get it all done. We CAN "wow" people every day. You ARE amazing! Take it one step at a time. My mom has had me repeat the following phrase out loud a few times: "I CAN DO HARD THINGS!" And it's true. We as women are designed to accomplish difficult things. Just remember today that you can do it all, just not all at once!
It's a new week!
If your kids take a nap, take one too! If not, lie down for a bit while your kids are watching a movie or at school. 15 minutes does wonders!
Fingerpaint with your child. They'll love it. After they're dry, frame the pictures and hang them in yours or your child's room.
A quick phone call to your husband while he's a work will brighten both of your day! If he's super busy, send him a text to have him call you on his lunch break. It's nice to have a little chat with each other during the day.
Happy House Goal:

Dinner Tonight:
Super Nachos!
1 pound hamburger
dash of each of the following spices: garlic powder, chili powder, salt & pepper, dried minced onions
1 can refried beans
1 diced tomato
1 can diced chilis
1 pint sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
some shredded lettuce
tortilla or pita chips
Brown your hamburger in a pan with all the spices listed above. In a pan, spread out the refried beans and layer the cooked hamburger on top of that. Top with cheese and bake @350 degrees for 5 minutes.
Put out bowls of all the toppings and allow your family to put whatever they want on their chips. It's easy, it's fun, and my kids love it!
Today's Pep Talk
I know it's a Monday, and if you're like me, you're sad to see the weekend go. But, now you get to start brand-new and have an awesome week. Don't worry about the week as a whole, just take it one day at a time. Before you know it, it'll be over and it'll be another weekend! To make your day really good, spend some time with your children. Don't spend so much time on your house, your computer, your errands etc; Chill out and have a little fun with those amazing kids of yours. You'll both enjoy your day a lot more!
