Happy Mom Goal:

You deserve a break today! I read a cool quote in a book today that I'd like to share:
As mothers, our methods for finding time off may differ, but the results are usually the same - happier moms and thus happier families. ~Debra Sansing Woods
So today, I'd like you to take a bit of a break. Obviously as mothers, we can't completely take the day off, but find some time during your day when you can just relax and not worry about a thing. It's necessary in order for you to be the best mom you can be!
Happy Kid Goal:

Get out some old pictures of you as a kid (at your child's current age if possible.) Show your kids the pictures and talk about how you were once a kid too! They'll love it, and if they are anything like my 3 year old, they'll have a TON of questions after. It's a great thing to share!
Happy Husband Goal:

(When I do this, I look in my fridge and freezer and use whatever I've got. Just throw some juice, ice cream, fruit, ice, anything really, into your blender, and you've got a yummy drink!)
Happy House Goal:

Dinner Tonight

12 regular Rhode's rolls, thawed and risen
6 ounces boneless, skinless chicken breast, diced
1/2 chopped onion
1 cup of your favorite barbeque sauce
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 small tomato, diced
1 can pineapple tidbits, drained
1 cup grated mozerella cheese
Cook chicken & onion in 1/2 cup bbq sauce until chicken is no longer pink. Set aside. Combine rolls into a ball. Roll into a 13-inch circle. Place on a 12-inch sprayed pizza pan. Bake @350 for 10 minutes.
Spread with remaining 1/2 cup bbq sauce. Top with chicken and onion mixture, peppers, tomato, & pineapple. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake @350 for an additional 10-15 minutes.
Serves 8 slices.
My family loves this! I sometimes leave out the tomato, but it's great both ways! (Oh, I also use a little more cheese!)
Today's Pep Talk!
Today, I'd like to remind you about the importance of friends. Yes, friends. I've heard so many women say that they don't have friends, but it really can be anyone: sisters, sisters-in-law, cousins, fellow church members, heck - my mom is probably my best friend that I talk to the most! But we mothers need someone we can talk to about the things on our minds; and heaven knows we have a lot in there! A friend can offer the support that we need when a child is giving us a hard time, reassurance when we're feeling discouraged, or a laugh when we need it most. Remember that there are other women out there who care about you, and who get what you're going through. It's okay to reach out to them for support! If someone came to you in need of advice, help, ideas, or even just a listening ear, you'd help them wouldn't you? I'm pretty sure all you amazing women would! So today, remember all the women who are there for you and are your greatest friends. And, reach out to another mother who may need you to be there for them! We can all help each other to be better and happier moms! That's what this is all about~
