Tuesday Goals

Happy Mom Goal:
Go to a makeup counter at a local department store and get a free makeover! Even if you don't normally wear makeup, it's usually free and you'll feel fantastic when you're done. Or, try it on another day when you have a "date" planned. Your man will be wowed, and you'll feel terrific!

Happy Kid Goal:

Choose a soft, no-slip spot such as a grassy lawn and bring out a spray bottle or the garden hose. Try to squirt your child's feet with the water while he performs his wildest barefoot dance to steer clear of it. When you do make contact? He has to freeze. Spritz him again to release him. (For an added twist, challenge him to freeze without screaming.) If you're feeling brave, give your child a chance to aim for your feet with the water too.

Happy Husband Goal:

He just got home from work, and you've slaved the day away cleaning and cooking and preparing everything. Right about now, he doesn't care what you do, as long as he's getting your attention. After all, if he didn't want your attention, he wouldn't be coming home to you. Tell him you've been thinking of him all day. It's an ego-boost and it makes him feel special.

Happy House Goal:

See if you can get all the bedsheets in your whole house washed today. I don't do this as often as I should, and I'm sure you're all better at it than me. But how nice would it be for your entire family to be able to sleep on soft, clean sheets tonight? Ahhhh........

Today's Pep Talk
Let's take a moment today and enjoy our children. Not for the "Happy Kid Goal," but just for ourselves. We are raising amazing little lives, and they can teach us so much. In all the years that I attended school, I never learned as much as I have since becoming a mother. They teach me something new every day, and I've grown so much, as I'm sure you have. When you're feeling down, discouraged, or frustrated today just think about how wonderful your kids really are, and how much they mean to you. It can really brighten your day. Just leave whatever needs to be done alone, and take care of what's most important.....
Precious moments with your children.
